A little introduction of the family behind our brand! My name is Elana. I love baking and making families come together for cake with any celebration, whether it's a birthday or a wedding. I'm 31 years old and I manage all of the online content, baking, and marketing of Crum Cakes Bakery, but there's a lot of behind the scenes fun that makes our business!

What started as a one-woman business in 2016 grew to be a family operation, which you'll get to know! We first started utilizing a commercial kitchen at No More Empty Pots in Florence, Omaha. (They are the best resource to grow our business to what it is today. We appreciate the whole team there so much!) But, my family plays a crucial part in the business' success! My mom, dad, sister, and even grandma started to help at local Farmer's Markets - Downtown Omaha, Aksarben, Bellevue, Florence Mill, and many other events. You've probably seen us and didn't even realize it! My husband, Anthony, does all my heavy lifting, making sure we are prepped, car loaded up, and ready to sell! Speaking of my husband, when we met 11 years ago, I knew it was destiny! His last name is Crum, and the foundation and legacy behind Crum Cakes Bakery will live on because of his family name.

My family relocated here from Buffalo, NY in the 80s, before I was born and established that Omaha is where home is. I grew up in West Omaha,graduating from Millard North High School in 2010. Soon after, I went to college at Metropolitan College for Culinary Arts graduating with two degrees; Baking & Pastry and Culinary Entrepreneurship. A Top 10 Culinary School in the USA I might add!

Our dreams of a store front bakery came true! Next, on our to do list is finishing up our online shop and then we are getting steps closer to our long term goal which is shipping statewide and we're so grateful to all of our customers that we have the privilege of working with!
